Chair Yoga

Yoga offers many benefits, from reduced stress to improved strength and flexibility, but it can also be intimidating to some people. You may feel that you just “don’t bend that way,” won’t be able to keep up with others in a class or have physical limitations that will prevent you from moving down to (and up from) the floor.

This gentle style of Yoga is done from a seated position (with a couple balance postures, if available for you) that also incorporates the breathing and mind-body benefits of a traditional Yoga class.

Adapting Yoga poses to a chair makes the health and fitness benefits of this practice accessible to everyone. We will work with all different levels of flexibility and range of motion to adapt the poses to each individual’s needs.

If you are looking for a different approach to Yoga, if you have mobility issues, trouble with balance or getting up and down from the floor… This is the class for you!
